On November 23, Xu Shizhe, Director of Mainland Affairs, International and Cross-Strait Education Division, Chung Yuan Christian University of Taiwan, and his delegation came to our university for exchange and negotiation. President Liu Zhiqiang met with the guests, and Vice President Fu Baixue and the persons in charge of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, academic affairs, and College of Art and Design of the university had a discussion and exchange with Xu Shizhe and his delegation.

Fu Baixue welcomed Xu Shizhe and his delegation and briefly introduced the development history of the university, the characteristics of disciplines and specialties, and the vision of future development. He expressed his hope that on the basis of the formal conclusion of the two schools as sister schools in 2022, the co-signing of the agreement on the student exchange and study cooperation program and the letter of intent on academic exchanges and cooperation, and combining the advantages of both sides, the two schools would carry out in-depth exchanges and cooperation for common development.

Xu Shizhe expressed his gratitude for the hospitality of the university and introduced the development history, recent achievements, and exchanges and cooperation of Chung Yuan Christian University of Taiwan. Xu Shizhe said that Chung Yuan Christian University attaches great importance to the cooperation with Heilongjiang Institute of Technology and expects the two sides to deepen the existing projects and expand the content of cooperation on the basis of the previous good cooperation. The two sides also exchanged views on the construction of online courses, scientific research and academic exchanges, and joint exhibitions of graduation designs.

After the meeting, Xu Shizhe and his delegation visited the University History Museum, the Museum of Engineering Culture, and the “2023 First Exhibition of Outstanding Graduation Works of Design Education in China and Russia” jointly organized by the University and the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technology and Design.
