The College of Foreign Languages consists of the Department of English, the Department of Russian, the First, Second, Third and Fourth Teaching and Research Departments of College English Teaching, and the Language Training Center.

The English major of the College of Foreign Languages takes “consolidating the foundation of English, enhancing humanistic literacy, highlighting the characteristics of business English, and improving cross-cultural communication ability” as its teaching goal, focuses on cultivating students’ practical ability, and fosters applied talents with Chinese sentiment, international vision, and cross-cultural communication ability through the enhancement and development of the four aspects of linguistic ability, quality of thinking, cultural character, and learning ability.

The Russian major of the College of Foreign Languages makes full use of the geographical advantages of Heilongjiang Province adjacent to Russia, takes cultivating students’ practical application ability of the Russian language as its main goal, and strives to improve the professional ability, social service ability, industry vision and professional quality of the students majoring in Russian.
