The College of Civil and Architecture Engineering is one of the first pilot colleges of the “Excellent Engineer Education and Cultivation Program” of the Ministry of Education, a pilot college for the comprehensive reform of colleges and universities in Heilongjiang Province, and a supportive college for the “double first-class” characteristic disciplines in Heilongjiang Province.

The college has 7 undergraduate majors, including civil engineering, road & bridge and river crossing engineering, engineering management, engineering costing, urban and rural planning, applied engineering of building environment and energy, and water supply and drainage science and engineering, as well as 2 master’s degree programs in transportation and environmental engineering. Among them, the civil engineering major has passed the professional accreditation for engineering education. The 5 majors of civil engineering, engineering management, water supply and drainage science and engineering, urban and rural planning, applied engineering of building environment and energy, are the first-class professional construction sites at provincial level under the “Double Ten Thousand Plan”.

The college has a provincial key discipline of transportation engineering, and the discipline of green low-carbon transportation technology in the cold region has been selected as a “double first-class” characteristic discipline in Heilongjiang Province. It has a provincial engineering research center of cold-region road maintenance technology, provincial key laboratories of cold-region road disease prevention and maintenance technology, provincial university key laboratories of cold-region road engineering technology, and a provincial college and university school-enterprise co-construction research and development center of new technology and new materials for cold-region road construction and maintenance. It has post-doctoral research stations in transportation engineering and civil engineering. It has “National Engineering Practice Education Center” and “Provincial Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center”, with first-class practical teaching conditions. It has the first batch of provincial-level modern industrial colleges in Heilongjiang Province - “Longjian College”, and the “Intelligent Construction College” jointly built by the university and enterprises.
